Albrecht Dürer. The complete Remondini Collection an exhibition curated by Chiara Casarin, offers for the first time a comprehensive view of the famous Nuremberg artist’s graphic treasure available in the museum collections in Bassano. The collection includes 123 woodcuts and 91 chalcography that became part of the city heritage in 1849 following their donation by Giambattista Remondini.
In the frame of Palazzo Sturm, the city of Bassano del Grappa is creating the most important exhibition on this conspicuous corpus of the historical-artistic heritage never realized in full. After the completion of the restoration, the building turned out to be the ideal space for the display of Dürer’s graphic works since it houses the Remondini Print Museum. The museum is enriched by a new, specially designed set-up that includes the creations of entrepreneurs, printers and careful art collectors from Bassano.
